JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEPT OCT NOV DEC
January already. The panel beater (Steve) has been busy with the final tidy up stages for the body. We have finally had to resort to using some filler for the door gaps. Lead has been used on the front guards (fender) to fill in the gap. A trip by Steve to a car club event of the TR Register and Stag Owners Club saw Steve closely examining a number of stags for gap uniformity. Statistics have shown that the LH door gaps were always the worst. As the car is currently just a bodyshell a trolley has been made from 2" water pipe to enable the car to be moved around. Steve has also made up an arrangement where the car , trolly and all, can be rolled on its side. this enables both he and the painter better access to the uderside. This is important to ensure that the best sealing and painting can be achieved on the underside. It also showed up some plug welds that needed filing off to get a better finish. Car should be at painters by end of February
